Product Reviews

Izziwotnot's Bailey Sleigh cot bed isn't the cheapest, but it's stylish and well-made. It is easy to assemble however, it requires two people. It is beautiful in any nursery. Our panel loved the dark wood and dowel sides, and is strong enough to last until your baby turns toddler. It also meets British safety standards. The depth isn't so great that your child could climb out and the distance between the slats shouldn't be more than 65mm. This should prevent their head from getting trapped. It's worth bearing in mind that you will need to purchase a mattress separately, which is an extra PS88.

The sleigh-shaped cot is really beautiful and makes it stand out from other cots. It's also easy to get your baby in and out of, which is a big plus. It's a little bit more expensive than other cots, but our panel thought it was worth the extra money for the look and the durability.

This cot bed comes with a choice of walnut or country pine finishes and is suitable from birth. It has three handy mattress heights, meaning you can start your child by putting the base up so that they can easily access it during the day and the night, and then lower it as they develop. It has teething rails that safeguard your child's furniture and gums. When your child is out of the cot bed, it is able to be easily transformed into a junior bed and then a sofa.

The westport design by Silver Cross is another cot that is sturdy and made to last. It can be used as a cot starting at birth, later as an infant bed, and then into a junior bed (toddler guard rails are available separately). It was a little challenging for our panel members to convert the cot into a bed however, their other half of the panel reported that it was simple and took less than 5 minutes. It's also a bit more expensive than other cots, however it's a style that you'll likely want to keep and use for your children as they grow older.
